Bread is a staple of the Italian diet.
During your holiday at Tasting Tuscany, you will make traditional bread, using wholemeal flour, milled from home grown wheat.
The bread is made using mother yeast and you learn how this is traditionally prepared the evening before you use it in your cooking. The next day your bread will be cooked in one of the traditional wood burning ovens here at Tasting Tuscany.
The tasty, Italian bread you will make will be the perfect accompaniment to a delicious minestra made from your foraged ingredients. Depending on the season, you will go into the adjacent fields and forage for foods that you can’t buy in the shops and you will create a delicious meal with them.
